About Chill Technology

100% Northland owned and operated by Richard & Julie Crum, Whangarei based company Chill Technology opened for business in 1997.

Richard completed his apprenticeship with Kooline Refrigeration Kamo in 1992 and gained an Advanced Trade in 1993.

Chill Technology employs 19 team members, of which 90% are Northland born and bred. They cover Heat Pump, Air Conditioning, Underfloor Heating, ventilation, Commercial & Marine Refrigeration as well as electrical work for our clients. The team at Chill Technology are proud to offer expert advice, customised design and qualified engineers for the installation and servicing of all work carried out.

Building a reputation for our refrigeration expertise in both the domestic and commercial market, a massive increase in market demand for HVAC (heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning) meant we expanded this area of the business to offer a more specialised approach to designing and installing HVAC solutions for domestic and commercial projects. The experience and skill base already within the company has seen Chill Technology become market leaders in this area.

We recognise the value in education and are strongly committed to apprenticeship training. Keeping our team educated on product developments by sending them to regular Daikin training sessions and HVAC seminars ensures we are providing our customers with the latest innovations and products. We are proud to be the Northland’s only Daikin sales and service agent.

With a proven track record and memberships with RACCA (Refrigeration, air conditioning companies association), Daikin dealer network, Panasonic and IQP registration we are certain that we can provide you with the most effective solution for your need.

                  

Recent design and build contract work includes:

• Air conditioning to the ‘Kerikeri Cinemas'. This involved the installation of 2 x 24.9kw Daikin Package units, and a 41.9kw Daikin Package unit. Various indoor split systems were also installed. Completed February 2010.
  
  
• Air conditioning and ventilation to the new ‘Sport Northland’ building at Kensington Park Whangarei. This includes various Daikin Split systems, tempered fresh air and extract systems. Due for completion June 2010.
